Recycled pellets for industrial projects in the Basque Country

Overtegiusar supplies ABS, PC, PP and PE thermoplastic pellets for industrial applications. Enquire about recycled plastic options for your project in the Basque Country.

Selection starts with your part: process, properties and finish. To assess a recycled option, confirm the grade, its origin and documented characteristics. Availability and supply terms are confirmed for each enquiry. Sharing a polymer name does not make two materials equivalent.

What to check in recycled pellets

Among our most requested materials are

ABS
Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene

Impact resistance, stiffness and surface finish are common criteria for ABS housings and components. For recycled grades, also specify colour and mechanical requirements; do not infer performance from the polymer name alone.

Enquire about ABS
PC
Polycarbonate

For PC, review impact resistance, thermal behaviour and optical requirements where relevant. Do not assume transparency. Moisture before processing deserves particular attention because it can damage the material.

Enquire about PC
PP
Polypropylene in different densities

PP in different densities: also compare grade type, flow, stiffness, impact resistance and any fillers. Density alone is not enough to select a material for a specific part.

Enquire about PP
PE
Polyethylene in different densities

PE in different densities: consider density and flow in relation to the application. Film, injection moulding and blow moulding require specific criteria; start with your current grade or a part specification.

Enquire about PE

These descriptions explain selection criteria, not stock availability. Availability of recycled grades must be confirmed for each enquiry.

What to check before approving recycled pellets

Define which properties are critical and how much variation you can accept between batches. Include colour, odour and impurities according to the intended use: appearance alone does not characterise a pellet.

MFI: compare test conditions, not just the number

Melt flow index is commonly reported as MFR, a mass measurement under defined conditions. Check the method, temperature, load and units before comparing values. MVR measures volume and cannot be directly substituted for MFR. Similar figures do not guarantee identical machine behaviour. Test method and limitations · ISO 1133-1.

PCR and PIR: ask for origin and documentation

PCR identifies post-consumer recycled material, from products that have completed their intended use. PIR refers to post-industrial or pre-consumer recycled material. Not every offcut recovered within the same process counts as recycled content. Ask for the declared percentage, batch identification and supporting documentation; check the scope of any certification.

Drying and trials: assess each grade individually

Follow the grade instructions and review storage conditions: do not apply one drying recipe to ABS, PC, PP and PE. In PC, water can cause degradation during processing. Validate a representative sample in your process and check finish, dimensions and final performance.

FAQs

Can I replace my current material directly?

Do not assume equivalence from a shared polymer or flow value. Compare part requirements and validate the material under production conditions. Samples, available quantities and lead times require confirmation.

Does a technical data sheet guarantee every value?

Check whether it lists typical values or an agreed specification. Ask which documentation applies to the batch and which tolerances apply to critical properties.

Is it suitable for food contact or regulated uses?

This cannot be inferred from the polymer or recycled origin. Documentation specific to the material and intended use is required. This page does not claim such suitability.

Do I need an exact reference?

No. If you do not know it, describe the application and the requirements you have already defined.

How do I enquire about prices and availability?

Email us with the material, quantity and destination to enquire about prices, availability and supply terms.

How should I specify the quantity I need?

State the quantity and unit, and whether it is a one-off or recurring need. If it is an estimate, say so.
